Nach Jahren des spürbaren Wachstums überrascht die Entwicklung mit einem Trendbruch: der Post-Corona-Boom ist vorbei, die Inflation drückt auf die Kaufkraft und KI verändert den Sektor wesentlich. Die gefragtesten Spezialistinnen und Spezialisten sind hingegen noch gesuchter: bei ihnen zieht der Markt weiter an. Zudem: Flexible Arbeitsmodelle sind Standard und die Kosten tragen mehrheitlich die Mitarbeitenden.

An seiner Sitzung vom 26.11.2025 hat der Bundesrat den Bericht in Erfüllung des Postulats 22.4411 Z'graggen «Digitale Souveränität der Schweiz» gutgeheissen. Der Bericht definiert die digitale Souveränität für die Schweiz. Er führt aus, wie diese ausgestaltet sein muss, damit der Staat seine Aufgaben auch im digitalen Raum erfüllen kann und schlägt Massnahmen vor, um die digitale Souveränität weiter zu stärken. Um sicherheits- und aussenpolitische Entwicklungen und ihre Auswirkungen auf digitale Ressourcen antizipieren zu können, setzt der Bundesrat eine interdepartementale Arbeitsgruppe ein. Sie soll auch die im Bericht erfolgte Gesamtsicht laufend aktualisieren und Massnahmen abstimmen.
